Get Out - Stay Out

Get Out - Stay Out is one of the most popular training programmes produced by RoSPA. The film documents a dedicated fire evacuation programme and offers comprehensive instruction on the procedures that must be followed if a fire breaks out. The DVD includes information to help ensure that everyone is aware of what they must do if they discover a fire or if the fire alarm activates.

The disc contains four different versions of the programme, to make the programme specific to different scenarios based around the type of fire alarm system that may be installed.

Version 1 - All fire alarm systems (duration - 15 Minutes)

This programme covers all types of fire alarm systems and is ideal for the consultant/trainer whos audience may come from a variety of locations with different fire alarm systems. It includes information about single stage and two stage alarm systems and how personnel should react to the different fire alarm signals that they mey hear.

Version 2 - Single stage fire alarm (duration - 13 minutes)

This version has been produced for environments where a single stage alarm system is installed and describes the required reaction to the constant fire alarm signal. To aviod confusion this version does not mention two stage alarms.

Version 3 - Two stage fire alarm (duration - 14 minutes)

This version has been produced for premises where a two stage alarm is installed, this programme covers the fundamentals of phased evacuation and the required reaction to an intermittent or constant alarm signal. Again, to avoid unnecessary confusion single stage alarms are not mentioned.

Version 4 - All fire alarm systmes (short edition - duration 7 minutes)

This is a bare bonres version of the 'Catch all' Version 1. It's ideal for training where a shorter programme is requireed due to time limitations. As with all pervious versions of this programme, the key training message is about evacuating in a fire or similar emergency.

Burns

This program examines the general principles of first aid treatment for burns victims.

The main problem associated with burns is skin damage and the effect this damage has on the well-being of the victim. This program therefore starts with a detailed look at the skin’s structure and functions.

Areas covered in this program include:

  • Causes of burns
  • Classification of burns
  • Life threatening outcomes from burns
  • Infection
  • Shock
  • Breathing difficulties
  • General first aid principles of management of burns victims
  • Guidelines for seeking medical assistance

Lockout

Cuts, burns, amputations, exposures to hazardous substances, electric shocks, asphyxiations and drowning are just some examples of consequences that can occur when work is carried out on plant and equipment that has not been properly shut down.
