Minibus Safety A Code of Practice

A 54 page, A4 booklet which was updated in 2008. The revised Minibus Safety: A Code of Practice includes advice on how changes to the law on seat belts and child restraints, techographs, speed limiters and work related road safety, apply to minibuses.

HSE Guidelines, 'Driving at work', state that: "health and safety law applies to on-the-road work activities and the risks should be effectively managed within a health and safety system".

This comprehensive publication enables the person who owns, manages, hires, or has responsibility for the operation and management of the minibus to provide a safe, effective and efficent service. this may be the driver, centre manager, the school  ( a nominated individual, head teacher, or the governing body) or the group leader. It is not written for commercial operators who require a full Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operator licence.
